The Filosha Gas & Vapour Filter Cartridge is the chemical-defence element of a reusable respirator programme, selected by class to suit the hazard at hand. Type A guards against organic vapours from solvents and hydrocarbons, Type B against inorganic gases such as chlorine and hydrogen sulphide, Type E against sulphur dioxide and acid gases, and Type K against ammonia and its derivatives. Each cartridge is packed with high-grade activated carbon, often specially impregnated for the target gas group, which adsorbs contaminant molecules from the inhaled air.
