Absorbent Socks

Absorbent socks are flexible tubular barriers that surround spills, block their spread and wrap around leaking equipment. Product Description

Filosha Absorbent Socks combine containment and absorption in one flexible, tubular tool. Draped around a spill, they form a bund that stops liquid spreading while simultaneously soaking it up; wrapped around a leaking valve, flange or pump they capture drips at the source. The pliable outer skin conforms to floors, machine bases and uneven surfaces, and the socks can be butted or overlapped end to end to enclose spills of any size or to build a barrier across a doorway or drain.

Available in three grades to match the hazard, socks follow the standard colour system: white oil-only for hydrocarbon spills on wet ground, grey universal for mixed maintenance fluids, and yellow chemical for aggressive acids and alkalis. Supplied in convenient 1.2 m and 3 m lengths, they suit both point-of-use leak capture and large perimeter containment. Position them proactively around transformers, machinery and storage areas, or deploy them fast during an incident to protect drains and separate hydrocarbons from water. Widely used across oil and gas, marine, chemical and manufacturing operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and India, socks work hand in hand with pads, pillows and booms in a layered spill-control strategy.
