The Group Lockout Box manages complex group isolations by holding the keys to all applied device locks inside a single secured box. Once every point is isolated, the keys are placed in the box, which is then locked by each worker with a personal padlock. No one can retrieve a key, and the permit cannot be cleared, until every worker has removed their own lock.
The Group Lockout Box is the control centre for large or multi-point isolations, where numerous devices must be locked off and many workers are involved. After an authorised person isolates every energy source and secures each device, the keys to those locks are placed inside the box and the lid is closed. Each worker then applies their own personal safety padlock to the box, and because the keys remain trapped until all personal padlocks are removed, no isolation device can be unlocked while any worker is still at risk. This elegant method allows a whole crew to be protected through a single, auditable point of control rather than fitting individual locks to dozens of devices.
Available as wall-mounted steel cabinets for permanent isolation panels and as portable boxes for field use, the range offers numerous padlock eyelets, internal key hooks and clear windows or labelling to identify each isolation. Robust powder-coated steel and impact-resistant polymer constructions withstand the demanding conditions of GCC plants and outdoor installations. Widely used across oil and gas, petrochemical, power and manufacturing operations throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, the Group Lockout Box streamlines permit-to-work management for shutdowns, turnarounds and complex maintenance, ensuring that group isolations are secure, traceable and impossible to clear prematurely.
